Your responsibilities:
- Responsible of internal accounting activities for our 3 local entities
- Guiding internal accountant allocated to this team
- Monitoring and analyzing of balance sheet accounts, with focus on main accounts (473, 462, 542 , 471)
- Ensuring accuracy of monthly balances based on RO GAP and internal policies
- Ensuring tax, accounting and fiscal requirements are met
- Preparing and submitting tax returns; reconciliation with Tax Authority (communication with Tax Authority is digital)
- Participating in the internal and external audit
- Participating in the preparation of CIT, financial statements, statistical reports (main way to participate is ensuring accuracy of accounting data and providing concrete explanations for accounting bookings)
- Other accounting duties required depending on company needs
- Annual inventory and review of the FA register
- Ensuring balance confirmation are done with clients and vendors
- Communication with PMs regarding outstanding balances and ensuring reminders are send (with Office support)
- Calculating and processing in ERP General Ledger entries for relevant accruals, provisions (commissions, professional fees, bad debts, audit, etc.)
- Processing payments and providing support when the internal accountant is off
- Preparing of year closings and registration of closing operations
- IC invoices (understanding the calculation and process in ERP)
What are we expecting from you:
- University studies with specialization in economics / accounting
- At least 3 years of experience in this field
- Knowledge of accounting systems (ERP systems, Navision or SAP)
- Knowledge of English at advanced level (both written and spoken); Romanian is a must
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel
- Previous experience in working with US GAAP financial reporting
- Support to improve existing processes if necessary
- Able to identify root cause (problem solving attitude)
- Open minded, out of the box
- The ability to analyze and synthesize
